SOPA PIPA in the nippa = Blackout

Update: Wikipedia, Google and more join the black out.

In February 2012 the US votes on a piece of (dicator like) legislation that will have global ramifications. It encapsulates the times we live in that way. “The people writing the proposed laws are not the people writing the independent web, and they are not out to protect it (/ are trying to put the ’round genie back in the square bottle).”
I don’t know why the proposed are required, as it is everything you do on-line can be monitored (unless you use Tor and friends). Perhaps it shifts the clan·des·tine: it’s governance onto the service providers, more?
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
Wordpress the provider of the most of this statement “is used by 60 million bloggers, ie about 15% of the web. Go to Stop American Censorship
The above is modified from WordPress’s official statement on the subject.
