Jayus, it was a great match, what I got to see of it down in O’Dwyers!
Ireland clung on to their lead in the final quarter – Australia managed to reduce the visitors’ 17-point advantage to the minimum margin.
Wicklow’s Leighton Glynn was one of Ireland’s high-ranking scorers.
He amassed ten points on his debut, just three points behind Ireland’s leading scorer Sean Cavanagh.
